Expecting 6.0 conditions but oh well. I didn't even get to the water with the 7.0 before reconsidering. The 8.5 is a lot of sail for the old style 135L but it is probably the 1st time I really got the new Ezzy Cheetah tuned up right. With it averaging 12mph John's 145 was probably the better choice. We worked hard getting planing at times and had lots of great windlines by the time we got done. Water seemed warm compared ot Grants. John and I had a surprisingly good time considering how we usually avoid real big gear days. The other Mike rigged a 5.7 and didn't have much luck. Duane B. showed up late and rigged an 8.0 and was still catching some good wind lines when we left at 5:00.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.
