Got off work at 5:30 and had the truck loaded with all my gear. With news reports in the morning talking about a switch to the North coming with the small cold front, I thought I would give it a try. Even though Provo airport had been reading around 4 most of the day it had climbed to 7 by the time I was off work. All the way to the lake from Woods Cross I watched to see any signs of wind and it did not look promising. The traffic was bad so I took Redwood Road from 7000 s to Lehi. Just as you turn East to Lehi I saw the flags moving a bit more. I figured it was going to be a very light wind night. Just as I pulled off the Springville exit Sal called to say its here! Pulled onto the beach rigged and rode untill it got to dark to see.
It was a bit light first 15 min. and I had to ride the big board but strenghtend up enough to put on a smaller board. It turned out to be a killer hour and 1/2 of steady wind. 6 or 7 kites out. A bit crowded at times but not to bad. Lets hope Friday is as good or better.

I can't believe you guys got it. I checked after work and thought it was definately a no go. I'm jealous. I hate missing Utah lake sessions. Who was out?? It probably wouldn't have been enough for me anyway.
