8/27 Nap time at Willow Park, Lehi, + shiny cars

1:00 Sunday and light South in Lehi. Willow Park was the call, to await a wind switch or head home. Park is on the North side of the road, 1/2 way between Lehi and the mess at Redwood Rd where you turn south to go to Pelican Springs (ha). Only a little sign and little road to indicate. If you've crossed the Jordan River you've gone too far.

Park was empty and peaceful. Beautiful willows. You can even overnite camp there. Got great tech support from JD and Sarah who were giving me meso updates every 1/2 hour. Carl on UL in a (dare I say it) internal-combustion-engine-powered watercraft(!). Don't worry, Carl, your secret's safe with me and the 150 or so people who will read this post. Oh well, happens to the best of us.

But while the windturbine at the Pt of the mtn was spinning from the North, Willow was south until 3:30 when I left to go see the cool cars at the Concours at South Point. Ford MKIV racecar! '69 GTO! '63 Avanti! 1920 Roots-blown something (no Z-28, though, nor any E-type Jags) . And a couple of primo Buick Roadmasters Grant sent me to check out. Grant -- if that's what ya you want your Roadmaster to look like, you won't have any $$$ left for windsurfing toys, dude!
