DCIB Wednesday 30 August

Grant was first on the water (at about noon) with a 6.7 and was soon joined by George (6.6) Judy Collins (5.0) and me (6.6). Initially, there were lots of holes, but within about half an hour, the wind filled in and strengthened. Next to arrive were John Dubock, Sarah, and Linda. The water level has dropped considerably in the past few weeks, making for a fairly long walk to the water (about 50 yards) and creating some fin hazards, including an extensive sand bar just to windward of the main launch area; Grant found it with his fin and warned me about it as I was coming in.
