01/15 Strawberry 16M Waroo

Arrived around noon, we didn't expect it to blow as hard. The Daniels reader said 6mph to 11Gusts. It looks like when it is coming NNW, it's a whole lot stronger in the valley between Strawberry River and West Strawberry Road. One of the guys out there was getting 16mph to 25Gusts. It looks like it needs a bit more coverage on some of the hills, but overall it was nice, since it was soft enough when you land too hard or upside down you break through and create nice big divots. There was me(Spencer R), Jake B, Billy Boardy and his wife Kristie, and Deer Creek Jim also was out there killing it on a foil. Some guy from Oahu Hawaii, with his wife was also out there... she didn't look like she liked the cold, but he was stoked as it was his first time snow kiting. There were a couple other foil riders also.. sorry I forgot names. It was plenty cold up there 6-8F(wind chill -10F) so coverup ... but it was a bluebird day. The wind was still blowing when we left at 5:30.
