I arrived at aout 2:45 to perfect 9.0 conditions. Quickly rigged and hit the water. I was looking for someone else to show, but it didn't happen. Since it was my first time out, I decided to stay fairly close to the beach. The wind was pretty steady by DC standards until about 4:00 to 4:15 when I got overpowered. Instead of re-rigging, I decided to call it a good opener and head for home. It is a good thing I did because at about 4:30 the wind started to die. I was using a full wet suit and booties and was very comfortable. The water is all the way up.
