The Point 9.5 Montana II 4/27

Rode the south side of the point tonight. Trying to remember what it was like to kite, it has been a while. Pretty much overpowered till the wind tapered off as the sun was going down. I got in a few hours of shrub dodging. I would love to get a good session out at Burmester, but have been skunked as of late. The Point has too many bumps and weeds to keep your speed up. You really can only get a few hundred yard reach in, before you hit the bigger shrubs and need to head back. The winds are nice and steady though. Hope to try and hit the water tomorrow at Rush or at least get skunked at Burmester again.

Les,

It doesn't look like it is going to happen today. May have to suck it up and mow the lawn. I'll check again in a few hours and if it happens I'll give you a call. I don't know if tomorrow will be any better.

Mike

It does look like the point would be good right now, but with a south on a Sat. you might have to compete with the paragliders and hangers. They usually don't like you to kite while people are in the air. I've had a few run-ins with them in the past.
