I got there at 8:00 to some great windlines. I was on the water by 8:30 with the 6.0 and some ripping 20-30 wind on the east side. It was a little hard to get going on the west side, primarily because of the small board. But it built fast and by 9:30 it was all I could hang on to. I figured it would slow down but I finally had to rig the 5.3 for about 45 minutes. That is the smallest sail I have been on this year. It started bying by 11 and was gone by 12. Jim joined me from the start and George and another sailor showed up at the wind peak. A sailor was on the water when I got there but I never figured out where they were parked. Grantsville delivers up another high wind/small gear day. Jim and I waited to see if it would come back up but Grantsville City was north so it didn’t have much of a chance. Those of us that depend on Grantsville are in trouble though. The shoreline is already further out than last year at Fathers day. We may not have anyplace to sail on those wild wind days in August and September like we had last year.

Maybe the farmers out there don't realize we are entering into a drought.
I know last year they had too much water so they encouraged the farmers to use it as fast as they could.
That is too bad. I hope slow down.
