5/5,6 Pelican Point 4.2 5.4 and 6/2

Sat, we arrived to lot's of wind, some rain and a lot of cold, especially after being in Maui a few days earlier. It took me over an hour to talk myself into facing the cold. Tom Smart called me a wooseie, and I was shamed into rigging and suiting up. Tom suggested a 4.2 and he was right. It was sweet sailing for the next hour and a half, with pleanty of power and good swell, that was setting up nicely. I'm glad to say that I stayed toasty warm in my heavy artificial blubber. I was really glad that I had gone out sailing.
Sun was a different story. Really bad rigging choices by me, and not gettting everything set before heading out. Boom height wrong, harness lines wrong, and I couldn't get my feet into the straps. My first run was out of control. Then I had the bright idea of rigging a 5.4, but while rigging my down haul line broke just below the cleat...yuk. by the time I got to the water, Iwished that I had the 6.2 that I had rigged at first. Oh well I got in the straps a couple of times, but mostly schlogging for me. Smarter sailers with bigger sails got pleanty of rides. Good to see everyone out enjoying the wind.
