Usually the AM hours are the best when we have a weak south at Rush. Rush did give up some 16M SE AM rides but there were some long lulls as well. During the afternoon it was gust and glass as the north fought the south in the Rush valley. Some of the rides lasted as long as an hour. I even pulled out my big kite for awhile, but got spanked a couple times and put it away. All in all, it was a beautiful day. Too many faces to count, however, the usual faces were there with a few new kiters as well.

RUSH 5/19

Postby Jon Manwaring » Sun May 20, 2007 7:37 am

K-Man was right on, gusts and glass. The 13M Instinct Sport and the SS Misfit 146 were my dynamic duo again, kinda like the movie Groundhog Day, Same kite-board-wind conditions almost this whole spring season. Only the temps and water level are changing. Jeff tried to cut his little toe off, but was fixed up in the Toolle Hospital ER only took 10 stitches and a 4 hour wait to get it done. Quality place for treatment, just the usual ER waiting. He's OK and will be back in action in a week.

Hey Doctor Shredus,

I am surprised that you didn't stitch up Jeff. I could have loaned you some dental floss and a needle.

Glad to hear Jeff is okay, I look forward to see him flying high again in a week.
