Couldnt get out of town in time to go to the crossing. The wife did say she wanted go to rush and kite. Finally out the door and 1/2 hour into the trip, I realized I forgot her harness. The trip was really for her, so we turned around. Depressed and angry, I was committed to driving the extra hour of an already 3.5 - 4 hour trip, but was coaxed into giving Pineview a try. Best wind was at the North Fork inlet, rigged next to the trees for a risky launch. Lining up the launch was like lining up a shot of pool, shaking my head while analizing the possibilities.

Made it out with no problem and actually had good wind and a good time for 20-30minutes until I wiped out and crashed the kite. Couldnt relaunch because of relatively light wind and no board to slow my downwind speed. Conducted my typical Pineview "wind in the lines and float" until a nice guy picked me up in a boat. Couldnt find the new spleene door board, mmmm, leash or no leash, tough call. The door helped my stay up wind the entire session, unlike all my previous Pineview attempts.

Returned with my kayak, paddled out passed the middle of the inlet and floated in the wind downwind for nearly 50 minutes humming "yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me. The wind guided me to where I would start me search. Sure enough in a few minutes, found my board resting on shore, dragged it back and called it a day. Could call an annual Pineview Crossing the "running of the tiger muskees".
