Idaho blows

Postby windzup » Mon Jul 09, 2007 11:46 am

Sunday was honking in Idaho.... Put kites up at Lucky Peak Res in Boise on July 5th, then chased the wind up to Glacier to find good wind but late in the day for hitting the cold water. There was minimal snowkiting to be had, but the potential for late season rides on a good year is promising. The snow patch had diminished quickly over the last week and it would have been a sight to be dodging tourist while trying to navigate the narrow snow path with the light winds, so we decided to pack it in for another season.

On the way back the flags were straight out from the south all across Idaho, from Idaho Falls to Pocatello. There is a new res finally filled with water rigvht off the highway, small but a good play park. Devils Res near the border is way low, offering good beaches for kiters to launch.
