Chris of Sandy had the place to himself at 3pm, Seatrend 140L on his 9.2, he was touring the entire lake. No 'fingers of wind', more steady than of late. Eric Christensen added a few rides. At 6pm it went WNW w/ gusts of 48, must have been the front passing through.

Sunny all day.

Pros: Starbucks arrives in Evanston, whether the those sophisticated cowboys want it or not! Zero boats, and 78 degrees beats 98 anyday. Water level still up, no island.

Cons: the weeds are a pain, some bootie sucking mud and minor horse flies.

I admit to a not exactly carbon neutral day, intended to camp over, forgot my harness, had to drive home singing "skis, boots, poles, idiot"...

Nice John...

"Skis, Boots, Poles, Idiot..." That's pretty funny... I think we've all sung that song at one time or another...

A couple of years ago, I hauled all my small gear (78L/4.0 to5.5M) down to lake Powell... Threw it on the house boat... The next three days it blew 4.5 in warm creek bay with clean 3 to 4 foot swell in the middle...

The house boat didn't move, the ski boat didn't move and with hound dog eyes I had to watch out the house boat window because I'd forgotten The Universal!!!
