Shared a most delightful fall afternoon with DCJim. Wind was just about right from 1:30 to 3:00. Nice swell, warm water and just the two of us. No boats or anyone else. Fun to see Jim 'skipping across the water' on his big board. Just like tossing a flat rock on a pond. That big thing really moves. Wind lightened up and I came in. Jim was still making it look good and drew me back out. Not quite steady enough to stay up wind for long and I came in on the Dark Side of Island Beach. Almost had an EMA, but only knee deep for a bit. Had a small walk of shame across the end of the Island. A definite keeper. Sounds like more of the same thru the weekend. If a big south maybe Lindon. Can't make the Vegas run.

Pretty gusty, but that didn't seem to bother Jon, who was landing some impressive jumps. Shortly after Jon left, Rob Smith arrived (about 4, I think) and the wind came back enough to provide another hour or sporadic planing. Everyone left happy.
