I arrived at CC around 1 p.m. to see no wind. Brad showed up a minute later and we decided to check out the Viewing Area. Nothing there as well. We were determined to kite. So, we decided to wait for the wind at Strawberry River. There was absolutely no wind when we arrived at SR. We decided to wait. Not 10 minutes later the wind started to turn up from the right direction. It was light (low teens at most). But it was ride-able. Brad has a 17 meter. I only had my 12 meter Ignite with me. Still, we both kited for couple of hours. Couple of new faces (Nick and Stephen(?)) and couple of old faces (I think Mike Hill was riding a 13 meter Frenzy) joined in at some point.

The snow is pretty deep in most part outside of the parking area. So, if your kite is down or you have to pick up your skis, it would be a workout! It certainly was a workout for me today.

Strawberry fired today but it was more like a bb gun and less like a double barrel shotgun. We had to work for it.

The powder was nice and creamy!
