Strawbs Jan 16

Rode by myself and then with Dave until dark. VERY nice sunset. Wind must have howled there on Tuesday. Surface is pretty hammered, even the leeward side of many spots is wind thrashed. More sage poking through than before. But still pretty well covered. Lots of wind scalloping - very few small pow pockets.

I looked at Chicken Creek and think the gliding hill there may have more exposed brush now as well.

At one point the wind totally died, but it quickly came back and I had fun for a few more hours before managing to kite back to the lot.

This is not to say that I didn't have a good time. I had a GREAT fricking time. Winds started strong and I did some jumping and gliding. After seeing Crazy Loops McBlunt the other day, I decided to try looping out of glides. Holy crap, talk about a solid core workout and some great crashes, I bet my potholes are there for weeks.
