I had a ton of great screaming reaches on my new 86L Sonic. I think it may be even faster than the old one and a blast to rip through wild gusts. The Evanston meter was reading high 20’s/low 30’s which was a bit high. The sustained windlines I measured with my meter were 18-24. The 6.0 was a handful at times but I didn’t want to get stuck in the middle of the lake on a sinker. I was keeping my fingers crossed that it wasn’t still iced over (it was once the 1st time I went in May). I didn’t measure the temperature but the water is frigid. Still, I got by with a very good wetsuit. The temp made it to 65 and was still 61 when I left; not bad.
