Since Ken broke the ice at Sulfur on Sunday, I figured I better join him on Monday. Pretty solid 4.7/5.2 wind most of the afternoon, sun would peak through periodically which helped a little, and what really helped was to avoid crashing into the ice cold water... a difficult proposition for some of us. Ken broke a boom near the far side. Surprisingly, we made the good decision to sail to the far side, wrap up the rig, carry it to the road, and I drove the truck around to pick him up... definitely a better decision than trying to sail it back and risk a long swim in the chilly water. And to top it off, Monday was the first time I have ever pulled up on the shore to take a break, and sat in a snowbank! Snow still lingering on the shoreline in several places! All in all a great day in WY!
