Surprise late afternoon session. Wind came up a little after 3, and by the time I became aware of it (about 4) appeared to be dying. But, you never know, it might come back (if you're going to be any sort of windrider, you have to be an optimist, right?) and by the time I got to the launch, it was starting to look more promising. Dark clouds to the W and NE, but clear sky overhead. As always, the wind was a bit up-and-down, but not especially gusty. Nice session: brief, but in beautiful surroundings. A small flock of white pelicans continues to occupy a stretch of beach at the extreme N (Midway) end of the lake.
