5/12 Salt Ponds 26M Psycho II

Postby Kenny » Fri May 12, 2006 10:10 pm

I figured the thermal winds would be good at the Salt Ponds today with the significant rise in temperatures. Sure enough the wind was blowing a steady 12 mph when I arrived late in the afternoon. I was able to wear a shorty today, the only problem is that there are some small "no see um" flies that bit me while I was changing. They didn't bother me as soon as I got into the wind. The wind was very smooth and continued to accelerate for the next 2 hours. I was barely hanging on when I got off the water as the wind had picked up to over 15 which is a lot for a 26M kite. Had some good jumps, but missed the landing on one and got the full saline sinus wash. I kept my nose plug on after that.

I brought a nice can of water. It sure felt good to rinse off.
