The wind came up earlier than forecast. But it was pretty lully for the first hour (from when I got to the water around 1:30). Toughed it out and was rewarded for about an our of pretty strong wind. Came in at about 3:30. Not a bad day.

So far, this has been a pretty good spring. I think I kited 80% of the days I can kite. 8)

Any SL'ers that left DC yesterday on Hwy 40 and saw a blue/green kite at Jordanelle, twas me. Went for a change of pace and used the old windsurfing adage, don't leave wind to find wind. Was rewarded with pretty respectable 16 m kiting. 50% cruising, 10% white knuckle, 30% having to work the kite to stay moving and 10% where it was a struggle to even keep the kite aloft.... in other words, great UT reservoir gusty day!!!
