I made my first kite trip to to the Bay area this weekend. My son Justin lives in Berkeley so I flew into Oakland and we headed to Sherman Island for the weekend. We had 3 good days of kiting. Saturday and Sunday It was 12m in the mornings with a mid day fade and then stronger 9m in the pm. Monday was 12m all day. All in all very nice smooth wind , flat water kiting. In addition to the kite looping freestyle crowd there were lots of race boards and hydro foils going upwind at ridiculous angles.
