Wow, the wind drought was killing me. Still, I was grinning ear to ear seeing how full Grants is (not totally full but hardly a walk to the water). People everywhere and 4 trolling boats made for a chore trying to pick a clear route that wouldn’t get any of the fishermen upset. Still, Grants is the only lake I feel comfortable sailing with fishing boats; they are probably more afraid of me. Used all 3 boards as the wind kept picking up. Thought about rigging the 6.0 at mid-session but glad I didn’t as the overpowering winds only lasted about a half hour. Got 2 hours ripping as fast as the 115L board could go and a half hour at each end of the sesh with standard Utah rip-and–schlog. Tons of birds. There were at least 3 monster fish that kept erupting from the water by shore, too big to have been stocked. And of course, a bunch of RV’s with their generators running (it is Tooele county). Salt Ponds have doubled in size during May.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.

Really pleased to hear that Grants has come up. It goes fast once the drawdown starts. Will be joining you soon. Spent most of May sailing at S Padre Island. Gone an entire month counting driving, sailing and a few days in Moab on the way home.
