I figured that the north wind would be late coming into Provo. I checked the mesonet and I saw that there was a 15mph North wind at Silver Summit. In desperation, I decided to give in a try. I arrived to 10 - 15mph winds out of the South. The wind seemed pretty consistent, so I decided to give it a try. The launch area was decent and I was out and ripping in very little time. I made a couple reaches upwind when the wind began to fade. Unfortunately, it totally died when I was about a 1/4 mile from shore. Had a nice long swim with a foil that was slowly taking on water. Perfect glass when I left, should have brought my boat instead.
