9/30 DARK SIDE of Island Beach

Just as Craig predicted Wind arrived to Isand Beach around 4:00 pm Pumped up the 06 Rhino 16 M, this coupled with 07 SS 149 Misfit was the perfect combo. Never came off a Plane, had to depower about 1/2 initially, but as session went on gradually worked up to full power. Not sure 13 Instinct would have been enough. I felt wind was quite steady for DC. (probably 12-19) Just enough extra to boost in the gusts. Worked up wind to middle of lake ,fine long , fast reaches. Fun to be out with others (poleboarders) in the middle. Not many boats, just us wind junkies. Beautiful colors, warm temps. Full wet suit was perfect. Thanks to DCJim for helping me with my gear. Got so excited to show him how to self launch and get on the water that I left stuff on the beach, like my helmet and board. Hope for more wind tomorrow. Maybe DC again or Jordenell. I find DC to be more kite friendly, especially out in the mud flats.
