Wind was light at Skyline. Rode up the hill 3 times during the first hour and then decided to take a break and go snowshoeing with my wife. We hiked up the north side of Bosco and saw the spot where Chasta flies between the trees - crazy. Wind came back at 4:30 after everyone else had left. It was good, but it was cold!!! Got to my car and the car thermometer said -6. Felt a whole lot colder in the 10 - 15 mph wind.
My wife and I saw a prism effect due to sunlight being filtered through blowing snow, similar to a rainbow, but had more of a round shape like a halo.
The only thing that I found surprising was the lack of new snow. Rush has a lot more new than Skyline.
