When we talked early, the plan was to go to Rush,
but we knew it was 40 plus on the mountain tops.
We decided to hit Monte cause we knew there would be wind.
We were uncertian of the kitability of Rush.
We walked north on the road to the top of the second ridge.
The wind came up as we were rigging.
Untracked couple of inches of early morning cold freshies.
and enough wind to go where ever we wanted,,, it was cool.
After the sun was up a while, the snow started to get kinda heavy.
We kited all the way back to the main road.
great session, but we were courious about Rush.
Sunday PM
After our killer session at Monte,
We checked the current wind at Rush,
on my new phone with internet.
13-17 at Pennys
Jon had been out already when we arrived. 18-25
It was a lot of fun to be back on the water.
I'm just a puss on hard pack snow....
Monday
POWDER,,, finally.
Lots of kites up a Strawberry River,
but we chose to go to Chicken Creek East.
The snowdrifts behind the sagebrush
made for some very fun kickers,
with soft powder on the leeward side.
It was killer..
Jeff and I went exploring,
while Jon stayed close, practicing on the snowboard.
He's getting board of snowkiting on skis.
He wants to carve turns like his water board.
Great Weekend
