I woke up sure there would be wind. But at 6:30 Grantsville was only 8mph so I headed for work. Halfway across the valley I saw some wind and turned north. The wind reached the lake right before I did. The mesowest meter was reading 20-30 so it was a bit wild for the 6.0. I made 2 trips across and came in to pull the sail all the way to the boom tip and then relied on the small board. As usual the East side of the lake matched the mesowest readings while the west side was more like 17 to 25. George showed up for the 2nd half of the session. 3 hours of Gorge wind and I still made it to my desk by noon. I wish I had managed to get the GPS out of the box and started up last night.
