6/25 Rush is not dead - yet...

Best riding of the year for me. I had a new kite, a Flysurfer Speed 2 15M. It is similar to the SilverArrow2, just a bit smaller. I was really hesitant to take a new foil kite to Rush, but the readings at UT lake were marginal when I left. Actually dropped the kite in the drink - twice! I was able to relaunch with 10 - 15 LBS of moss on my lines. I shook the lines and the moss dried and I just kept on riding. Perhaps, a foil is actually a secret weapon?!? Anyway, the wind was blowing 18 - 22 and the water was so perfectly flat. It made for amazing, huge carving jibes on the butter, no skipping just sweet carving on a finless board. Jumps were big, floaty affairs as well. Rush is fading fast, but not without giving up some amazingly sweet rides.
