Took a chance and ventured onto IB at about 4 pm. Christened the new board with a loose 8.0 and got good rides about 50% of the time. It then turned to the weird easterly with the thunderheads and I got back in. Grantsville looked good this am, and sulphur looked like it was blowing this afternoon. The new board was really easy to dial in. It has a traditional but volumous shape. Some young onlookers asked where we race them and how much do they cost because they really look cool. I said they are. This hot summer pattern makes the afternoons difficult to call. But it was there for a few hours. It was a bit flukey (or is that fluckey? I like the sp Josh).
