G-ville rocks again: 5.7 flattened, 105l Sumo

Duane Karren and I got there a little after 7:00, as the sun crested the Oquirrhs. (Thanks for the late call last nite, DK, you da man!)

Wind was already promising so I rigged 5.7 expecting it to rise. By the time I hit the water at 8:00 I was still wondering, as always, if I'd rigged right. 10 in a row full-planing, float-the-rig-around jibes later, there were no more questions, except how much flatter I could get the sail. My 5.2 would have worked just fine for the next couple hours. It was still honkin' when we left and Jonathan pulled up to rig. Hope ya got some. Guess if enough folks go to the Gorge, it finally starts to blow again here!

Rode the 82L F-2 w/ the 5.5 for about an hour of short reach/and jibes. It backed off a little so I rigged the 6.2 w/ the 110L Hi-Tech for another hour or so of ripping planning and some slogging before I packed it up. G-ville Rocks!
