Well, those who went on a leap of faith were rewarded handsomely. Got to the beach at 5:30 to a slight breeze. Did some much needed beach clean up till it turned on at 6:30. Rode till almost 9. In attendance were Ryan, Sal, Billy, Mike, Dean, Arpi, and student of Ryan's who's been out flying his 15m sport. Excellent evening. Getting a little chilly. Water is still warm though. Rode far upwind almost to the airport tower and over to mud lake. Hung out till 10:30 drinking a couple beers with the boys.

I usually consider myself one of the faithful, but I gave up too early. Glad you guys got it. Maybe it will happen again today...

i'd given up early too kenny. bill called me at 5 and i braved the horrible traffic and got down there just after 6:30. it took a lot of work, but it was well worth it. i think my kite flying skills need some work because i felt like i was fighting it the whole time. maybe it is that in combo wiht the board. those soft rails just don't like to dig in and go upwind as easily as the other boards i've tried. they make for fun slashes though. i learned the beauty/art of releasing your fins on a wave slash last night.
