Arrived at about noon as Ralph was rigging a 4.7, with big gusts, big swells and a strong wind blowing... Ralph went out just as it appeared to tail off, he came back in and rigged a 5.7, and still was slogging somewhat. With Ralph doing the testing... I rigged a 5.7 and after a few slog and go rides, it came back strong. Mike Egan arrived rigged a 6.6 and the two of us ripped around the lake until about 3:00 when we both rigged down to 5.2/5.7 (Don't have any idea how Mike hung onto the 6.6 for 2 hours - he might have to replace his long sleeve shirts, with a longer sleeve after that session). Big Wave Dave showed up and we enjoyed another couple hours of great sailing, almost over powered most of the time... a hole here and there... But a very enjoyable day for the most part. Sailed the last couple of hours on my 85 liter board... what a gas! Great day at J-Bay!

Great first time sail at j-bay. Looks like next week its going to warm back up. I'm praying for more warm south wind. This spring I will start praying for rush to fill up. Great day of sailing with everyone.

A Great day of sailing for Utah. Got there at about 2:30-3:00 and got excellent rides on the 5.2 and 80 litre board. Rachel got some good onshore practice with the 4.7. A good 2.5-3 hours of great wind. Wish we'd have gone to MM19 but I'd left wind only to be skunked one time too many in Utah so we went with the sure thing. Good to get out and sail without the 10 hour gorge drive!! Great sailing with you Mike & John!!
