Very interesting hour or so at DC, winds from 15-25+. Rode for almost an hour from really powered to OP'D from 3-4 ish. Jeff was getting BIG air in the gusts on his 13M EDGE. DCJim was rippin. Outlasted us all, again. Couple of Hobies out, and tipped over. Gusts were BIG. I got a small lift even though I was 2/3 depowered at the time. all in all kinda fun while it lasted. Water is getting cooler.

I agree. I was up at sailboat beach from about 2:00 to 4:30. Rigged my 7.2 (I am curious what Jim was on) and lasted about 45 minutes getting my arms yanked out of their sockets. Finally surrendered and thought about re-rigging to my smallest sail (6.4) but the wind was already past that as well. Took some wind measurements instead and was getting steady winds of 23mph with gusts into the 30's. Once a sustained gust came through in the mid 40's I decided it was time for me and my big gear to go home (go big or go home). It was the hardest I have seen Deer Creek blow.
