10.15 Monday. Island beach trailhead

DC was fun. Warm enough for a shortie and no boat traffic. Took my formula board for a change. And a change it was. It felt like wrestling a runaway turbo diesel for a while until things got settled down with the harness lines, outhaul, etc. Jim, once again, was the iron man, sailing when I arrived, still sailiing when I derigged. I got on the water at 4 for a good hour and a half of non-stop brownian motion in the fall sunshine. I got off to dry while there was still a half hour of daylight. The sun disappeared at 6.
