Strawberry River 12/1, Just like a White Rush

Todays session reminded me of Rush. Winds 5-25 mph, 2 foot deep, Light Utah Pow rather than water, and a base of 6" of sagebrush rather than mud. When kite powered up I was able to come to the surface and Glide along as long as there was wind. When it dropped off, I dived to the bottom (I was on skiis, I'm not sure a snowboard would have been much better) and then, when it powered back up was either pulled sideways or into the air, once in a while even got going again, just to start the whole thing all over again. Quite a work out. Sorta fun for the first day on the snow. Still lots of brush showing but once this settles in and once we get some more on top it should be good to go, at least on the flats. Lake is still liquid, Could have water kited today if you like 24 degree air temps. Rode the 08 Manta II 12M, Nice kite, handled the gusts well and didn't fold up in the lulls.
