Deer Creek Session

Postby Mike Hill » Sun Dec 02, 2007 8:19 am

Had about an hour thigh burner session in kind of heavy but very consistent Heber pow. Figured it out for the second hour and road in my old tracks. Wind was up and down a little but never totally off. Snow was deep enough as long as I didn't crank on the turns to hard. It was eons from epic but ok for day one and only a five minute drive.

Mike,
Did you ride the shoreline or a field? aslo what size kite were you on, and the BIG QUESTION, at least for me, the water weenie, was it as much fun as a day on the Laguna Madrae, or on the gulf side?

Hey water weenie, I rode where the kiters rig then up to the ramp, so not a very long reach. I rigged my 7.5 Frenzy. No it wasn't as much fun as Padre, Lagoon or Gulf side.

I was thinking about DC yesterday. with the water so low, there is that whole wide open area at the east end (heber side) that was kind of a mud bog thru the summer, but as that freezes up and gets some snow on top, it'll probably make for a good snow kite spot. Any thoughts?
