1-16-08 light to no wind at Skyline

Went up for a late morning session... found wind in a north westerly direction at about 5-8 mph. Enough for the biggest kites to climb to the top of Boscos...but then no wind to ride and an odd direction making it difficult to kite down hill. Packed up and freerided down, then waited. It got colder and was like the air froze... we could see clouds moving by above, but dead still air on the ground... weird.

Jon Reagan from the Mason-Dixon line is in town checking out the west coast conditions for snowkiting... should have sent him to Strawbs yesterday... if you see a semi truck pulled over at your kite spot, its just Jonny Reagan getting his road side sessions in. BTW- he mentioned that one of his top two days snowkiting ever was in his front yard, in a lucky snowfall in West Virginia.... I think thats crazy talk, but stoked to meet a Snowkiter from such a southern state.
