Got my first experience of gliding down Bosco. A bit unnerving to say the least. Felt like I was 20ft up, but was likely a foot or two off the ground. Winds were super light at the bottom, but gusty and strong up top. I usually get skunked down there, so I haven't had much experience with that hill. I found it hard not to get lofted while riding down the hill. If you go straight down the hill you get yanked and if you ride across you get launched. Would have liked to try a few more, but like Mark, I was feeling it after an hour of riding. Snow was super crusty everywhere, but got some pow in the ravines.

Mike,

You can avoid gliding by putting your kite low and sheeting out when you are riding downhill.

I agree that Gliding is a bit unnerving at first. It is important to be in control, you don't want to be spinning around and accidentally pull a big, slow kiteloop that yanks you into the hillside. I suggest that you try it near the bottom of the hill. Put your kite overhead sheeted out, get some speed. When you start to feel lift, sheet-in and pick up your feet. Gently float down and redirect the kite just before landing.
