Took sleds the 12 miles up Ephraim Canyon to the top where it opens up. Good westerly flow had clouds moving fast overhead. 11 meter was the call as it was the only kite in the bag. We decided to launch lower in the canyon mouth as the ridge line was howling and the snow was wind blown and frozen in odd formations. Nice powder down in the first bowls, but a little gusty do to tree islands and hills. The first spot is right at the forest service cabins, one of which is snow loaded into a giant kicker.

We took sleds around for a few miles north and south, visibility kept coming and going by Horseshoe Flats with low clouds, so we went back to the main canyon. We found a new area that was untracked... for a while. Jake launched and covered several miles in this area cutting way upwind and pushing the possible directions. Long XC potential from here.

It blew all day, cold, and then we went back down to town to call it a day. With a sled, this is an amazing area to be accessed. Also saw two snow cats dropping snowboarders off. Jake kited uphill as the boarder went down... funny.
