finally broke the curse of willard bay and got about three hours of riding in. mostly powered on my 9 meter waroo. had a few lulls and was taking "breaks" waiting for it to fill back in. i sure love my new board- north sky pro and have yet to find a wind condition it won't excell in. wind changed from dead south to south east which was weird, but ridable. John was there when i arrived at 4:30 out on his 9 crossbow. Ken Clewis showed up during a "lull" and after watching us ride decided to rig up. Ken was doing awesome on his homemade plywood board and no fins. just wait till you get a real board! you'll be crusing past my progression quick. lots of pelicans to join us out in the water and i only hit what i imagine were a few fish. 5/4 wetsuit did the trick and no booties and i was super comfortable.
