Strawberry River 4/16 10/12M mantas

Postby bigwavedave » Thu Apr 17, 2008 10:01 am

Strawberry served up some sweet spring love yesterday with slightly gusty but overall great wind under sunny skies. The wife and I rode 10 and 12 M respectively but for a while I took the 10 from her and was plenty powered. There s still about a 3-4 foot snow base there and the snow was a bit on the hard side. Not total cement but definately not fluffy as the wind seemed to have blown away most of the powder. I didn't venture down the lake or see Marty or Billy so I'm wondering if you guys were further down and what the snow was like down there. Give us a report if so.

I worked yesterday, so I could take off today..
Riding sleds to West Uinta with Brian and Heather.
Looking for the same wind Craig is calling for at Pineview,,
Building high pressure wind. Funneling up the canyon.
Wonder how the snow is at 10'000ft?

Let me know if you've got room on the back of a couple of the sleds. I might actually ride bitch for something like that.
