5/20 lindon

Met up with Billy and John after work. It didnt look promising and came close to leaving a couple times.
It picked up enough for Billy and John to get out on a 13m and a 16m then it started looking real good!
In a race to launch before it got to late I did a self launch with the chicken loop over the bar and stuck in full throttle.
kept my cool and was able to put it to the side and fix things all the while eyeing the quick release.
Other bad thing I set up too close to the hill and brushed the hillside with the kite and tore a nice 8 inch tear that I didnt notice till I packed it up.
All in all the wind turned out great and it was well worth the effort and carnage for a sweet but short sesh at Lindon.
I am thinking a caribiner tyed to the gazebo to anchor the kite while self launching and landing might work well at Lindon, at least with the bow kites.
One dead bloated dog and remnants of a big fire or 2 on the beach, other than that its much nicer. We left around 8:00 with it blowing a sweet 9m breeze!
