Lincoln Beach 7-12 7.2 136

Wow 2 evening sessions in Utah, in July....who would have thunk! Linda and I headed for Lincoln Beach, to hang out with the Grunells, and their grandkids. I hadn't been there for a few years and wanted to check it out. And with Craig's post of some possible PM wind, I was confident that we would at least get a few rides, and we did. I would guess that the wind came up about 6:30, so we quickly rigged a 7.2 and 7.5 . The 7.2 was a bit of work to get going, another meter bigger would have been nice, but I would guess that I planned about 70% of the time and had some really nice long reaches. Not quite as good as the night before at Provo Boat Harbor, but we both got rides until, close to sunset. It was a nice place to sail, easy to get out to open water, nice long reaches. What a great place to learn to kite, or windsurf.

Kind of a trashy beach, lot's of dead fish, dog poop, fisherman trash etc. Kind of sad, cause it could be such a nice place, We did our duty and picked up all the trash in our area. It would have taken half the day to do the whole area, but each little bit helps. It's amazing that the fishermen, who like to go there, leave it looking so bad, but if we all make it a habbit of picking up just a but of trash, it will all look better.

Yeah, a little trashie...

Makes me wish I hadn't drunk half the lake trying to get up on my board. But the good news is I am only glowing a little bit in the whites of my eyes.

It was nice to meet you all. :o) See you out there

Nice to meet you too, Constance. Looks like such a nice place to learn to kite. Keep posting about your progress as you learn, it might inspire others to come out and join you. Hope to see you on the water soon. Sarah

Not me with kids on my board....that would be grampa Fred, he's a good grampa! I was out in deeper water, enjoying some long reaches to the east. I think the kids had a blast all day. SR
