I rode down the street at Lincoln tonight. I didn't see any kites up at SSB as I drove by, so decided to try out Lincoln while I still can. "BMW guy" was there drift launching his kite. He can back with a ball of kite, said it needed more air. Got a launch myself on the 10m and played in the swell. Rode the shore break out at the north west point, some actually decent waves at that spot. Headed back in after a few hours to check on Beamer. He was getting a launch from someone and finally got out riding. Played in the butter the rest of the night until the wind started heading east. Is it my fault if whenever I try a rotation the board flies off, or just crappy bindings or lack of heel straps? I don't think I've seen anyone use heel straps in Utah, but seems like I need them.
Beamer got a bit of riding in and then crashed the kite. I saw him try and relaunch in the dirt. He hot launched it luckily in sub 10mph winds. I talked up some Billy lessons earlier, hope he follows through with that. I felt bad I didn't take any time helping him out, but I haven't had many days on the water this year.
Hope SSB was fun. I'm waiting for the water to go down a bit more before I go there, too much fun riding the flat water at Lincoln.
