A very gentle breeze out of the SW arrived in Charleston about 1, but it was certainly nothing to get excited about. But a 3:18 call from John Dubock alerting me to the fact that Sundance was showing 17/24 suggested that there was hope. By a little after 4, with the gusts finally reaching 15, I headed down. At the beach, the wind was a bit puffy, but not too bad considering that the wind was out of the North in the Northern part of the Heber Valley. 8.5 m^2 sail on a fairly large board (117 L) produced more planing than schlogging. All in all, a very pleasant surprise session.
