Left DC on Sat. and watched Kenny rip it up at SBB on my way down Provo canyon when Ryan texted me saying he was camped out at Yuba and rode that morning and to come on down. So I did. Jake was at SSB and a slight North was blowing. I guess Cody rode 17m for awhile there, but I continued on down to Yuba. Nice night with a full moon. Woke up to a very cold morning and not much wind. It finally started capping around 9am so we hit the water. Forgot how hard kiting at Yuba is. The launch is really swirly and tricky, but once out it's good. Water way down. Wind blew until almost noon. Came in, dropped my kite and shish kabobed it on a stick. There are many. A very sad sight to see your beloved bread and butter kite with a 3 in. stick sticking out from the leading edge bladder. Was a good session anyway. Been so long since I've done a repair I'm not sure I know how anymore. Especially with these new one pump gadgets. Came in and had delicious dutch oven breakfast made by Ryan's girlfriend Mel. Thanks Mel! Gotta love those morning Yuba sessions followed by breakfast. Only at Yuba! Spent the rest of the day wakesurfing!
