1/6 Olympic Park, 15 Waroo

Got out of work a little early and saw the only wind in the area was a west coming up Parley's. There is a big field near the entrance to Olympic Park, north and west of the road that goes up to the park. This spot seems to work on a west, though it tends to be gusty. I beleive that this land is owned by the LDS church. I'm not sure of the legality of it, but there aren't any "no trespassing" signs posted - cattle graze there in the summer. The wind was indeed gusty and at times a little on the light side, probably going from 8-18, but rideable. Snow was knee deep pow. Got about an hour in before the wind lightened up. Nothing too exciting, but kinda cool kiting right there in kimball jnct area.

It was a windy day up at The Canyons. The lifts were on wind hold in the morning. There was a gust of 90 mph. Even in the afternoon there were gusts that would have been scary if I was attached to a kite. It's suprizing you found powder because all the powder on the mountain was wind f***ed, even in the protected areas. By the way, thanks for the liability waiver Jason. I'll have time to write up the proposal this weekend and probably put it up here before I send it in.
