Made some serious haste on my way out of work, and went to Strawberry River. At least 5 other kiters there including a few beginners. Adam? was there with his gray Mayhem as well. Snow was FIRM and loud with occasional pockets of filled in fluff. I stayed close to the launch for a bit and was able to land in some soft spots. Decided to explore and went way upwind. Winds were 16-28 on the meter I think. The 11 had ok power down low, and was lit up in the highlands. Then I found a big old leeward bowl full of powder and cornice - very fun to ski on and it allowed me to launch and land without completely killing my knees. The normal dead zones had plenty of wind to offer tonight. I stayed out until dark and will drive to work work a smile in the morning.
