4/5 Strawberry, 12 m ranger, light wind cruising party

I arrived at Strawb River at 12:30 to find light and consistent wind. Sandra (with British accent?) and Ralph also show up about 10 minute later. Sarah and Linda soon joined in, as well as Jim. Marty and company came late. Wind was light and we had to worked for every single run. But this has been the best session for me this year. Yesterday's snow provided some really nice slushy, sticky soft snow to ride on. I was the first to arrive and next to last to leave (Dave, who works at Brighton was last to leave). Can't imagine a better way to end a snowkiting season. 8)

End a snowkiting season? Why? Looks as though the snow's going to last til June (well, May anyway.)

Seriously, good to see you and your Ranger back in action. Who did you find to repair it?

As you say, it was a workout; I'm amazed you have the energy to type; didn't think we were ever going to get out from behind the ridge to the East of the parking lot.

Jim, I will be busy the next couple weekends and then it will be final exam week for my students. I am going to see my parents in Hong Kong the first week of May, for 4 weeks. Unless something really epic the next couple of weeks show up, this could be my last this season. . .

I repaired the kite myself. It took 3 hours of stitching. The repair is not pretty. But it work just fine. :)))

It was kind of a light wind day, but was great for me to work on moving the kite. the sunshine was spectacular, snow kind of sticky, but I had a great time going around in the cush.

Leo, it's been fun hanging with you @ the kiting spots, good luck the next few weeks.
